The Croma floor lamp, named after the Italian word for ‘quaver’ or ‘eighth,’ depicts the vitality of the musical note in its slim design. Luca Nichetto turned the frame on its head to produce a revolutionary product, in contrast to the traditional floor lamp, which normally opens up at the top. Croma’s high light output and dim-to-warm function make it suited for a variety of contexts. It is immediate in its function and elegant in the four different finishes. Croma’s slim metal frame, which mirrors the dynamism of the musical note from which it gets its name, dispels washes of light upwards across the wall and ceiling. The lamp may be turned on and off with a ring conveniently located midway up the stem.
