Lighting Your Dining Space

Lighting a dining space is critical to creating the right atmosphere for an enjoyable family dinner or a long lunch with friends. Make your Table the Centre-Piece

Your table must become the centre piece of your dining area. By making it the focal point, the source of the space’s atmosphere, the rest of the room sinks into the background. The proportions of your table and your dining space will dictate the size of the fixtures you use. Be sure to balance these. While a small round dining table will best work with a single pendant or chandelier. Open plan spaces are currently the way to go for living areas. Combining kitchens, dining and living rooms in one airy large space. This can pose a challenge when you want to create an intimate dining space that leaves everything else behind. Play with them at different levels to get your lighting just right.
